With the help of my grandson, Matthew, we took some pictures of our one week old chickens who are each beginning to show their "true colors" as far as feathers. The lovely soft downy feathers will soon be in the past as their new mature true feathers emerge. I love the colors they will be as grown-ups. Check out our birthday photos, well actually only a one week birthday.

Love that the bossy yellow chick is getting all white feathers. And how cool that the "chip and dale" ones have those amazing striped feathers. Can't believe how fast they are growing!! Maybe we have farmer genes in us after all.
